Our winery stands firmly by its philosophy of maintaining quality above all else, and to achieve this goal we strive to carry the oenology of wines back in time, back to the wines which were produced several generations ago. The explanation behind this objective is quite simple, today’s wine-making is somewhat rough and commercial in comparison to that of past times. A good example of this is that current production methods have done away with grape-treading techniques, one of the quality steps in wine production.

At Bodegas Laukote we aim to recover wines from the past, which were produced in a much more artisan manner, made using the traditional carbonic maceration method, for which we sacrifice volume in favour of quality. On the other hand, the use of age-old wine-making techniques is not at odds with the use of modern facilities, which contribute significant advantages in so far as hygiene and control, which we obviously appreciate within our winery.
